For those who don’t know about you and your work, can you tell us a little about yourself?
I am Zunair Khalid. Singing is my passion, it means everything to me. I was inspired by Muhammad Rafi Sahab. His songs are so inspiring. I started my singing after being inspired from him.
How would you describe your work to someone who has never known about it?
Well, I am more into Urdu/Punjabi music frontier. I am into music production as well.
What sparked your initial interest in singing?
Mainly Muhammad Rafi Sahab. Plus I was very fond of listening to different genre songs, which later on became my inspiration and thus I started singing.
At what age did you start singing? Has your family always been supportive of this choice of career?
I started singing at 20 when I was in my university. Yes, my family is very much supportive specially my father. They appreciate my work.
Which of your projects are you most proud of and why?
Punjab Group of Colleges tour concert was one of my big project in which I faced almost 50K students, both boys and girls. Recently I collaborated on a song with an international DJ and Music Producer “DJ Shadow Dubai. The song “Shaam” is doing really well. I’m very proud of this project.
Do you prefer on specific genre of music over any other genre? If so, what genre and why?
I listen every genre but usually it depends on my mood. Sometimes slow, sometimes fast, sometimes sad when you just scroll down, and sometimes joyful when you know you just wanna chill and have fun listening to music.
Where do you see yourself in next 5 years?
After 5 years I see myself as a very good producer composer and obviously a very famous singer celebrity.
What is one question nobody has ever asked you— that you wish they asked you?
Well, nobody has ever asked me to act, yet.
What is the weirdest fan experience you have had?
Weirdest fan? Normally I meet my fans give them autograph and take pictures and selfies, but one day while Punjab College concert, I was just leaving the stage and a girl just came, hugged me and screamed ‘I love you’ in my ear. I was just surprised and startled, that was the first time I experienced something like this. I’ll always remember this first time.

Sure. Keep listening to my tracks and keep supporting. I love you all and if it weren’t for you people, I wouldn’t be here. plus we still have a long way to go and I can’t do it without you guys.
