Times of Youth: For those who don’t know about you and your work, can you tell us a little about yourself?
I am Mumtaz Ahmad, currently a wedding photographer in Lahore. I had passion for photography at a very young age and traveled to Lahore to pursue my career and succeeded. The secret behind my success was hard work that impressed people.
Times of Youth: Who are some of your favorite classic photographers, and how did they influence you?
Richard Avedon. He revolutionized the style of photography.
Times of Youth: Can you describe how and when you use flash, video light, reflectors and natural light during a wedding?
Flash and video light is only used when there is dim light in indoors, but I try to work with natural lights because it produces outstanding results.

Times of Youth: What is one question nobody has ever asked you— that you wish they asked you?
I don’t get enough time to sleep and spend time with my family, so want to be asked, “Which day is your holiday?”
Times of Youth: How do you interact with your clients to get what you want out of them? How do you handle ‘shy’ clients?
I start with simple expose, crack some jokes. then try to make them close by holding hands, so I get the comfort level.
Times of Youth: How did you end up being a wedding photographer, and what made you choose photography as a career?
I had passion for photography at a very young age and to freeze to flow of time. My love for photography turned into my profession.
Times of Youth: What advice do you have for somebody who wants to pursue wedding photography?
I would advice all wedding photographers to work hard and not to compromise in quality as the quality is the only thing that makes your work stand out from other photographers.
Times of Youth: Among your works, which one is your favorite? Why?
I love shoots because its creative and you can experience with various angles.
Times of Youth: Which five words would your friends use to describe you?
Hard Worker, Passionate, Successful.
